As some of you may know, or may have read back in 2021, I have been sorting things out five items at a time for a while now. That has not stopped.
While perhaps a great purge may have been better at some point as this has been going on since well before that original article was posted, I have been able to notice the difference. But that doesn’t mean there weren’t plenty of things I was avoiding.

Despite being the middle book in the Faith, Hope, and Charity Trilogy, Hope is singular in its focus and faster-paced than most of the books in Deighton’s Bernard Samson series.

This movie was something special, as it marks for me a return to form for the franchise and getting back to the roots of what made it so special in The Original Series. Of all the films in the franchise, this was the one that those Trek fans around me were most excited for me to experience.

In The Nineties, Chuck Klosterman looks back at the last decade that actually felt like a decade. It’s hard to view this book as anything other than a transformation, but it’s also hard to ignore that reading this book puts you back there.
This book is a time capsule with the perverse insights that make you wonder about your own memory, the collective memory, and all with a sincerity, exuberance, and authenticity that feels proper.

Jonathan Douglas asked the question, “Is it possible for an average bloke to ride all 21 stages of the Tour de France?” That question and the answer to it can be witnessed in the sub-hour documentary “One Day Ahead” by Silver Eye Films.
In it, we follow eight New Zealanders in their attempt to complete the 2018 Tour de France, one stage at a time, one day ahead of the actual professional race, in order to raise money and awareness for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.
