Taking place after the events of the Avengers in Hell’s Kitchen, and timed almost to perfection by Marvel Studios, is the introduction of Daredevil into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Declassify >Agent Carter was Welcome Filler during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Mid-season Break
I wasn’t expecting too much when entering the fandom of Agent Carter on January 6, 2015, along with scores of others. I was a little upset that after a big reveal on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there would now be a long break before getting back to Skye/Daisy/Quake, or whichever you prefer to call her.
However, I was expecting to see the founding of S.H.I.E.L.D. and I was wrong.
There, I said it.
Declassify >The Nerdist Way by Chris Hardwick is Self Help that Reads like a Friendly Nerd Conversation
We can all use a little help. Sometimes from our friends, sometimes from ourselves. Whether or not we admit to needing help, to others or to ourselves, will make it all the more apparent that we need it.
For nerds, self-help books are everywhere, because learning comes from everywhere – from video games, from that tabletop dungeon crawl from eight years ago, or from the many experiences in between. A good self-help book for nerds is a bit like the Highlander: “There can be only one.” That one is The Nerdist Way: How to Reach the Next Level (In Real Life) by the Nerdist himself, Chris Hardwick.
Declassify >Why Agent Carter is an Important Part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Agent Margaret “Peggy” Carter is getting her own mini-series. So, why should we care?
Well, if you’re a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – and regardless of whether you’re a fan of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or not – she’s an integral part of the history of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Without Agent Carter, their could very well be no S.H.I.E.L.D., so try to have a little respect. Besides, she keeps really good company.
Declassify >A Successful Infiltration of the Great Allentown Comic Con’s 5th Anniversary Show
The Great Allentown Comic Con’s 5th Anniversary Show was this past weekend and I was there. I had three things in mind, buy some things to read either comic book or just book, buy some art and hear Nichelle Nichols speak. And I was successful on all three fronts.
So, why bury the lead, the last thing I did during my infiltration was go to a panel where Nichelle Nichols did a short 40 minute Q & A, it was fantastic! She is a fascinating woman. She spoke of the vision of the future that Gene Roddenberry had and of her fellow actors, directors and the new and old Trek.
